Green Screen Video Shot for Band Website

Hello everyone! Here is a screen shot to check out. Lloyd and I brought the members of The Sixxis in the studio and set them in front of a green screen to capture a bit of their personality to liven up their new website. After setting up and lighting the green screen, we had each member bring some of their favorite instruments — other than the expected band gear. Vladdy- his violin, Mark- a flying carpet along with his bass, and Richie- THE GONG. After capturing all kinds of interesting footage, we cut, keyed and stuck them in a loop on the homepage of the site. They now reside on top of Mark’s head/top hat from which a tree grows.

The Sixxis @The Local: Video Stills

Check this out! Here are a few video stills cut from camera#1 that was running a tape during The Sixxis show at The Local in Marietta, GA this past month. Overall the show went pretty smooth. The hardest part was running an overhead video cable from our booth to the projector just in front of stage. We got a great overhead angle that shot down, but over the head of “The Sixxis” lead man , Vladdy Iskhakov.

Visual Rig Diagram Version 1.0

Here is a diagram of our visual rig for the upcoming “The Sixxis” show at The Local (at sidelines) in Marietta, GA Saturday March 27th. I’ll write up a basic equipment breakdown with descriptions. After many many hours of trial, error, and scouring many VJ blogs, this is what we have assembled so far! In the current set up I run Modul8 on station one and Lloyd is running station two along with “camera one”.

Well, we are Ben Lloyd and Chris Johnson collectively know as Our Lloyd Chris (artists, multimedia experimentalist, musicians, songwriters, aspiring film makers and the list goes on). We have the privilege to know so many talented people that run in our circles and this blog hopefully will tell the story of our adventures in all this debauchery we call our creative life. With so many cool things to juggle, we are going to share some of the unbelievable situations we find ourselves in creatively. We are into building a creative community and sharing ideas.
